- Grimes and Fulton make up Swansea's double pivot/double 6.

- They both support the ball by providing simple passing options for the defenders.

- They look to receive passes on the half turn before identifying passing options between the lines.

- In possession, Swansea move into a 3-2-2-3.

- The back 3 and double 6 create a 3-2 rest defence.

- The wing backs provide the width, while the double 10 fill the half spaces. The quality of Ntcham can prove to be dangerous in these areas.

- Swansea sometimes play backwards to go forward: they create space to play into by encouraging the press.

- Off the ball rotations create progressive passing options, overloads and free players.

- The wing backs often join the double 10 and the striker in pressing from the front.

- They can drop into a 5-2-2-1 when out of possession in their own half.

- This may become a 5-4-1 in the defensive 3rd.
